While Eastman implemented Clarity PPM in 2002 and had a robust IT Project methodology, "reporting was consuming time and effort across the organization," and still not providing the portfolio-level insights senior management needed, says Mary Wilson, a cross-functional team member.

With the increased depth and breadth in reporting, "we can [also] see where time and effort are being spent, address the root cause of problems, and gain a better insight across our portfolio,” says Jake Mitchell, IT Project Management Office Supervisor at Eastman. “Strategic business initiatives invariably involve IT, so it is essential that we are able to prioritize our portfolio and focus resources on those that will deliver most value.”
